Miami Weather

The city of Miami experiences a typically tropical climate, according to the Koppen Climate Classification. Hot, humid summers and warm, dry winters. Miami does undergo cold fronts from November up to March, However, the average monthly temperature recorded has never reached lower than 64.4 °F (18 °C). Although the coldest temperature ever recorded in the city of Miami was 30 °F (-1 °C) on several occasions. Miami has only once recorded snowfall, on January 20, 1977. The temperature averages 67 °F (19.5°) during the month of January.
 
Most of the year, it is warm and relatively humid in Miami. The summers in Miami are almost the same to the climate in the Caribbean tropics. Miami has never recorded a triple-digit temperature; the highest temperature recorded was 98 °F (37 °C)

Miami gets most of its rain during the summer months and it is dry and cool in winter.  The wet season lasts from May to October, it is really hot and humid at these times. During the dry season, Miami experiences mild temperatures added with some invasions of colder air. This is when the little winter rainfall occurs. The hurricane season usually coincides with the wet season in Miami.

Miami receives quite a lot of rain, most of which occurs from mid-May up to early October. It is one of the highest among major US cities that receives abundant rainfall. It receives an annual rainfall of 58.6 inches (1488 mm)
